MAJOR EXHIBITION BY JIM DINE IN VENICE
Jim Dine presents the exhibition "Dog on the Forge" from April 20 to July 21, 2024 on the occasion of the 60th Venice Biennale at Palazzo Rocca Contarini Corfù. The exhibition comprises 32 new works by the artist and, with paintings, drawings, bronze and wood sculptures, conveys his ever-impressive skill in dealing with different materials and their expressive values. When asked about his intention, the now 88-year-old artist replies: "I’m not interested in making them pretty. I’m interested in carving out images that will move you.” [quoted from press release]
